Salad, salad, get your salad! In honor of Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Week (December 1-7), we hosted a salad sale in school to raise money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Since most organizations usually raise money by hosting bake sales, we decided to shift gears a little and try a healthy alternative: salad! Although it was not as popular as cookies and brownies, we were happily shocked with the number of people who bought a bowl at our sale. Thanks to all the donations from our club members, we were able to sell all different types of toppings and dressings so that each customer could make their personalized salad that best suited their taste buds. In the end, we were able to both spread awareness of healthy living and raise money for an important cause! Thanks again to everyone for the support:)
