On April 9, The Thriving Tree members went to Zoo Miami for a walk to help find a cure for Type I Diabetes. We teamed up with Stephssquad, a friend with diabetes' team. We raised about $150 from a fruit fundrasier in our school and donated the money to stephssquad (                 to read more about this). This is an important issue in our community, as over 28 million americans are affected with this disorder. It was so fun to walk/run around the zoo and admire the animals, while also joining our community in fighting diabetes. We can find a cure!
